“Thunder is good, thunder is impressive; but it is lightning that does the work.”
– Letter, 8/28/1908 Mark Twain.

Rumblings stir it up. They let you know something is about to happen. They give you warning. And then, the crack.
These days the crack comes in a phone call – not a text or email – the phone actually rings. And most times – the earth shattering call delivers bad news – at least that has been my experience. But today the call came in a way that lights up the night.
And I thought the good news call was enough to excuse myself from writing today… but my husband said I had to write about lightning strikes so here I am. And here I go…off to celebrate our children and their accomplishments. All good.
(Note to self – I must read Mark Twain – his words are extraordinary.)
